CIRCULAR

Performed at Carrillo Gil Museum, 2026

Sound by Huerta Ensamble, body performance by Daniela Huerta & Pamela Varela

CIRCULAR is a collective sound activation that explores synchrony as a sensory phenomenon—a moment in which different temporalities, bodies, and gestures unexpectedly align. Grounded in an understanding of time not as linear progression but as something that is recognized, repeated, and transformed with each return, the work unfolds through spatial and relational dynamics. Space, and a dividing wall within it, function as metaphors for duality and opposition, where separation becomes a necessary condition for encounter. What begins as division gives way to reunion, articulated through sound: an electronic instrument that translates the touch between two bodies into audible form, rendering connection as a shared sonic event.
