SIX METAMORPHOSES AFTER OVID

Presented at the Elbphilarmonie, Hamburg, 2025

Six electronic interluded composed and performed by Daniela Huerta

Metamorphosis refers to a change in form or shape. The second BLUE CONCERT centers on Benjamin Britten’s Six Metamorphoses after Ovid alongside Daniela Huerta’s electronic sound metamorphoses, performed live in response to the work. Through six electronic interludes inspired by Ovid’s Metamorphoses, oboist Guilherme Sousa and composer Huerta create a dialogue in which sound transforms, mirroring the mythical shifts between human and divine forms.
