SIX METAMORPHOSES AFTER OVID
Presented at the Elbphilarmonie, Hamburg
Six electronic interluded composed and performed by Daniela Huerta
Metamorphosis means a change in form or shape.
The 2nd BLUE CONCERT revolves around Benjamin Britten’s Six Metamorphoses after Ovid and Daniela Huertas’ electronic sound metamorphoses, performed live in response to it.
Through six electronic interludes inspired by Ovid’s Metamorphoses, oboist Guilherme Sousa and composer Daniela Huerta create a dialogue in which sounds transform, mirroring the mythical shifts between human and divine forms.
